Last week I picked up my telephone, as a voice said: “Don’t be startled by me, but it’s Arjen Rahusen.” What a surprise! He is one of my former bosses. It has been 5 years, since I wrote the last press release about the SPA Regatta (only Olympic Grade 1 event in the Netherlands). It was my final project as employee at Amsterdam based Trefpunt Sports & Leisure Marketing. Trefpunt organises the annual Delta Lloyd Regatta, as the previous SPA Regatta is called nowadays. On June 1^st 2003, I started my freelance business as a sailing journalist and five years later Arjen asked me to hand in a quotation for my services at the Delta Lloyd Regatta 2008. Meanwhile, we have come to an agreement. It feels really good to be back on the team in a different role. I am looking forward to work with my ex colleagues again.
